I love these dishes, just got them and they are exactly the type I wanted. I was nervous about the design at first, but I really like it. The mugs are stonewear, but I don't think thats a bad thing. The only negative thing is that it doesn't come with salad plates, they are bread plates. I didn't notice in the picture how small the plates were compared to the dinner plates- definitely would have bought a different set had I known.

We have 2 young children helping around the kitchen and many chipped items. We decided that it was time for Corelle Vitrelle. My wife and I researched this specific product for quite a while as we wanted Corelle Vitrelle. It is only when we opened the boxes that we realized that the plates and bowls are Vitrelle material (they look good) but the mugs are STONEWARE and slightly off color.
After seeing the mugs, I searched around the internet thinking that we had made a mistake. I still cannot find any documentation online explaining that the bowls are STONEWARE. I noticed later that other customer reviews are reporting this problem (no reviews were available at Amazon for the Corelle Meadow). The mention of the STONEWARE on the box itself is only a small one line at the bottom of the packaging that says: "Stoneware mugs made in Thailand or China, as marked on mug".
What is interesting is that each of the four boxes themselves had an additional orange bar code sticker right on top of the one line description saying that the mugs are STONEWARE. If you buy from the store and the sticker is there, you might not even be able to see that the mugs are STONEWARE unless you peel the sticker. Big surprise when you get home or open the boxes from Amazon! Interesting that the labels would be placed right there while there are many other other spots without any writing!
The fact that the box says in big letters: "Livingware TM made with durable, lightweight Vitrelle TM" and the orange stickers are covering this information seems to be just misleading marketing. I will contact Amazon and then Corelle. If we cannot get satisfaction, the 4 boxes ( service for 16 ) will have to go back to Amazon.
Don't get me wrong the value is good. Now in these days where customers buy online, it is not acceptable to not have accurate description of the products online. Amazon should have known and modified the product description since other customers are reporting the problem:
