 Great looking, but they don't fit in an average cabinet. March 7, 2010

They look good and have a nice weight. I love the coffee cups.
We purchased 4 sets, 2 of green and 2 of red and they mix and match very well together on the table.
The only thing I dont like is:
the plates are so large they do not fit in an average wall cabinet, and the plates and bowls do not fit in the dishwasher very well.

We have owned these dishes for 2 years and I'm look for a new set. They look great and hold up extremely well, but they are very heavy. The dinner plate weighs about 2.5 pounds. I can only fit 4 plates on a shelf, because they are so wide we have to be able to turn them to get them out of the cabinet. They also are hard to fit into the dishwasher. Our son at college wants them because he knows they'll hold up for him and his heavy handed friends.

This set disappointed me on several issues. The color was more on the mauve or burgundy tone. The dinner plates are too large to fit into my dishwaher. Silverware slides onto the floor on a regular basis because of the rounded corners and my spoon falls into the bowl. 2 plates have cracked for no apparent reason. Overall these have been frustrating and disappointing dishes.

We've had these dishes about 6 months and have been very disappointed with how frequently and easily they break. The most recent casualty happened when we just put food from the stove onto the plate and it cracked. Many of the dishes have cracked this way, with only moderate heat. Because the other characteristics of this set have been covered at length, I will leave my comment focused on the breakage.

When we received one of the boxes it was damaged and 3 of the dishes were broken, a replacement came about 2 weeks later. These plates are bigger and thicker than I thought they would be, they don't fit into the dishwasher as well as my other round Corelle plates. The bowls don't fit into the cupboard more than 5 high. Overall I really like the dishes, they look great, just make some extra room in the cupboard for them!
