An already memorable meal of zesty boxitos (Mayan shrimp tacos), further impresses when served using plates from this striking Corelle Lifestyles 16-piece set. The tableware's vivid black-and-white triangle pattern draws inspiration from Mayan relics, yet the design blends into modern décor seamlessly. With service for four, each setting includes a 10-3/4-inch dinner plate, an 8-1/2-inch luncheon plate, an 18-ounce soup/cereal bowl, and an 11-ounce stoneware mug. Corelle constructed the set's plates and bowls by thermally compressing three layers of glass. The resultant vitrelle glass make-up resists cracks and chips with greater success than regular glass. The lamination process also combats stains, scratches, and fading. The user-friendly plates and bowls are dishwasher- and microwave- safe and warm food in conventional ovens up to 350 degrees F. The mugs, however, find safe use in the microwave only. For the best care, avoid soaking mugs for prolonged periods of time. Corelle discourages the use of abrasives or scouring for both stoneware and vitrelle pieces. Users benefit from the three-year limited warranty against breaks and chips. I got these for myself as a birthday present. I really like them. They fit in my dishwasher a lot better than my old set of dishes. They are really pretty and great for a family with children. I have a two year old, and he has done great with them.

Everything you expect from Corelle dishes - the sturdiness, microwave and dishwasher safe - with a fun design. We wanted Corelle that wasn't plain and boring, and chose this set. It's unique to look at, and has gotten compliments for that, but it's still a tasteful design and not too outlandish.
The mugs are normal stoneware mugs and not the unbreakable Corelle material. However, I prefer them over the smaller teacups that come with other Corelle sets.
All the designs on all the plates and bowls are centered properly and are holding up extremely well to normal wear and tear. Give this pattern a try if you want something that looks a little different than the usual dishes, but still want the stability of Corelle.
